Sloping lawn in front of terrace, which may require supervision of small children, but there is a foot high wall/flower bed before the slope. Fenced off at foot of lawn, which leads to SW Coastal Path.
The Cottage Hotel next door, has recently been extended (started 2017) and there may still be occasional building work and/or general activity.

Located a 2 minute walk from the beach, and the pubs and restaurants. It has stunning views over the harbour and you can watch the most amazing sunsets from the patio or from the living room. It was originally part of the Old Colonial House which is a well known landmark in the village, but has since been divided into 3 separate properties. It also has its own private parking space.
Port in Hope Cove is an ideal family summer holiday location, but is also wonderful out of season, with dramatic views and surrounded by unspoilt scenery.

Comfy beds, good showers and a fantastic open planned sitting, kitchen diner. It included the best window seat which we all fought over for morning coffee, rose and book reading with the toddlers. French windows open onto a terrace where you can watch the world go by and see beautiful sunsets, we were also blessed with amazing weather and the visitation of dolphins and seals. What more could we ask for, except the Hope and Anchor pub to open (for the men) which I believe is next year and oh yes, another holiday at Port.”

March 2017 "If you want a relaxing week away from it all then this is the place to come. Hope Cove is everything you need for a relaxing seaside holiday from a bygone age!! Beautiful beach, lovely walks and not too far from larger towns, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes if you need a shopping fix. The apartment itself is in an amazing position to sit and watch the sea and the sunsets and covers just about everything you need for a week away (even down to a spare dog bowl if you forget) The weather wasn't amazing but on our last day we made it along the coastal path to the next bay and the welcoming beachside cafe. A memorable break and if they can fit us in (as I understand it's gets really booked up even through the winter months) we will definitely be back.” Michael E

Jan 2016 "Location location location really is right , the views from here are just amazing, from people watching, wave watching to bird watching from the balcony , the lounge and the bedroom. The house is comfortable, comes with parking and has some very thoughtful touches from lovely books and games for the children , to lanterns and candles for the balcony. We have just returned from celebrating new year, where we had a super time. Hope cove is a gorgeous place with lots of lovely walks a fantastic beach cafe "The Cove", a handy shop and a pub . Walking to South Milton sands is a must, as is the massive walk to Salcolmbe with a taxi back! We met so many people who were VERY jealous of the views we were waking up to each morning. Correspondence with the owner was excellent and we also met the cleaner on the beach who does a fantastic job. Would definitely go back to look out to sea and to watch those crazy surfers! Our dog loved it too and is still exhausted from all the fun he had!"
