Port is the perfect place for your dog to relax by the sea (2 dogs max please). They have a perfect terrace to look out to see from, and our 2 retrievers just love to sit there for hours on end. There is a steep grass bank which your dogs can use here, but it isn’t enclosed so bring a long tether if you have a wondering pooch

The beach facing the property, Harbour Beach,  allows dogs on a lead all year round, although nobody complains if they are off the lead first thing in the morning and in the evening. The other beach in Hope Cove, Mouthwell Beach,  allows dogs off the lead from October to April and there are plenty of walks on your doorstep, including the SW Coastal path.

By the entrance to the property there is an enclosed small front courtyard, where you can leave your dogs outside but safe. There is a shower here which humans and dogs can use.

The area is famous for being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has wonderful walks, countryside and beaches, but alongside that comes rain and mud on occasions. The soil in Hope Cove is red, so please don't allow your dogs onto chairs, sofas or beds.

We are confident that our guests are responsible dog owners and considerate human beings and will look after Port for us. This has certainly been our experience to date.
